This unmanaged PoE+ switch is designed for small and mid-size surveillance networks that need to power and connect up to eight compatible PoE devices. Eight 10/100 Mbps PoE ports carry network data and power over Ethernet cabling, helping reduce the need for separate power adapters near cameras and other powered devices.

Two dedicated 10/100 Mbps uplink ports connect the switch to a compatible NVR, router, or upstream network without using the eight PoE device ports. This keeps all powered ports available for cameras, VoIP phones, and other supported equipment.

The switch supports IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at PoE, providing up to 30W from an individual port with a 150W total PoE power budget. Automatic powered-device detection supplies power to compatible active PoE equipment while passive 24V PoE devices are not supported.

For cameras positioned farther from the network equipment, Extend Mode increases supported transmission distance from 100 meters to as much as 250 meters, with network speed reduced to 10 Mbps. Plug-and-play operation requires no switch-level software configuration, simplifying deployment in retail stores, offices, warehouses, restaurants, and other commercial locations.

Key Benefits

  • Supports Up to Eight PoE Devices – Eight powered Ethernet ports provide centralized network connectivity and PoE power for compatible cameras and other devices.
  • Power and Data Over One Cable – Sends Ethernet data and PoE power through the same network cable, reducing the need for separate local power adapters.
  • Dedicated NVR and Network Uplinks – Two additional Ethernet ports connect a compatible recorder, router, or upstream network without consuming the eight PoE device ports.
  • 150W Shared PoE Budget – Provides up to 30W from an individual port while supporting connected devices within the total 150W power limit.
  • Extended Camera Cable Runs – Extend Mode supports connections up to 250 meters when standard Ethernet distance is insufficient, with data speed reduced to 10 Mbps.
  • No Switch Configuration Required – Unmanaged plug-and-play operation avoids the need for software installation or switch-level configuration during normal deployment.

Find answers to common questions about compatibility, PoE power, supported equipment, product selection, and use with security camera and surveillance systems.

What is this 10-port PoE+ switch used for?

The switch provides network connectivity and PoE power for up to eight compatible devices, making it suitable for IP camera systems, VoIP phones, and other standards-based PoE equipment.

How many PoE cameras can the switch connect?

It provides eight PoE+ ports and can connect up to eight compatible PoE cameras or other powered devices. Their combined power requirement must remain within the 150W total PoE budget.

What are the two uplink ports used for?

The two dedicated 10/100 Mbps uplink ports can connect the switch to a compatible NVR, router, or upstream network without using any of the eight PoE device ports.

How far can the switch extend a PoE connection?

Standard transmission supports up to 100 meters. Extend Mode can increase the distance to as much as 250 meters, with network speed reduced to 10 Mbps while the mode is enabled.

Does the switch support passive 24V PoE equipment?

No. The switch is designed for compatible IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at powered devices and does not support passive 24V PoE equipment.
