This 24-port PoE+ switch is designed for larger surveillance and business networks that need to power and connect up to twenty-four compatible PoE devices. The 10/100 Mbps PoE ports carry network data and power over Ethernet cabling, helping reduce the need for separate power adapters at camera locations.

Two dedicated Gigabit Ethernet uplink ports connect the switch to a compatible NVR, router, or upstream network without using any of the twenty-four powered device ports. This keeps the full PoE port capacity available for cameras, VoIP phones, and other supported network equipment.

The switch supports IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at PoE, providing up to 30W from an individual port with a 250W total PoE power budget. Automatic powered-device detection supplies power to compatible PoE equipment, while passive 24V PoE devices are not supported.

For longer camera runs, ports 9–24 support Extend Mode, increasing supported transmission distance from 100 meters to as much as 250 meters while reducing network speed to 10 Mbps. Plug-and-play operation, a built-in power supply, LED indicators, metal housing, and rack mounting support centralized multi-camera installations.

Key Benefits

  • Supports Up to Twenty-Four PoE Devices – Provides centralized network connectivity and PoE power for larger camera systems without requiring separate local power adapters at each compatible device.
  • Dedicated Gigabit Uplinks – Two Gigabit ports connect a compatible NVR, router, or upstream network without consuming any of the twenty-four PoE device ports.
  • 250W Shared PoE Budget – Provides up to 30W from an individual port while supporting connected devices within the switch's total 250W power capacity.
  • Power and Data Over Ethernet – Carries network traffic and PoE power over the same Ethernet cable to simplify compatible camera and device installations.
  • Longer Camera Cable Runs – Extend Mode on ports 9–24 supports connections up to 250 meters when standard Ethernet distance is insufficient, with data speed reduced to 10 Mbps.
  • Centralized Rack-Mount Deployment – Plug-and-play operation and rack mounting support larger surveillance systems without requiring software configuration for normal setup.

Find answers to common questions about compatibility, PoE power, supported equipment, product selection, and use with security camera and surveillance systems.

What is this 24-port PoE+ switch used for?

The switch provides centralized network connectivity and PoE power for up to twenty-four compatible devices, making it suitable for larger IP camera systems and other standards-based PoE installations.

How many PoE cameras can the switch connect?

It provides twenty-four PoE+ ports and can connect up to twenty-four compatible PoE cameras or other powered devices. Their combined power requirement must remain within the 250W total PoE budget.

What are the two Gigabit uplink ports used for?

The two dedicated Gigabit uplink ports can connect the switch to a compatible NVR, router, or upstream network without using any of the twenty-four PoE device ports.

Which ports support Extend Mode?

Ports 9 through 24 support Extend Mode, increasing the supported transmission distance from 100 meters to as much as 250 meters. Network speed is reduced to 10 Mbps while Extend Mode is enabled.

Does the switch support passive 24V PoE devices?

No. The switch is designed for compatible IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at powered devices and does not support passive 24V PoE equipment.
